August 6, 2023 - Fly to Cape May for breakfast

Three Essex Skypark RVs are heading to Cape May for breakfast at the Flight Deck Diner.

Mark cruises along lit up in the bright sunshine.

Cruising over the Eastern Shore.

Chuck enters the picture.

About to go feet wet over the Delaware Bay.

Safe on deck at Cape May Airport.  Let's go get some breakfast!

Mission accomplished.

Chuck starts up his bird.

We flew up the Jersey Shore for a bit.  As you can see, the sea haze was significant.

But that didn't keep people from enjoying the beach.  Something organized is going on down there.

Lots of Hobie Cats on the beach;  I'm guessing you can rent them.

Now heading south back down the Jersey Coast.  The haze has disappeared.

Looking down at Raging Waters Water Park.  Looks like fun!

A little futher down is "The Great White" roller coaster on Adventure Pier.

And there is the big Wildwoods Convention Center.

We climbed to 4,000 feet, crossed over the Delaware Bay, and then descended over Cape Henlopen.

A good look at sandy Cape Henlopen.

Checking out Cape Henlopen State Park Beach.

Busy day at the Cape Henlopen beach.

Lots of vehicles on the beach as well.

Passing by the Indian River Inlet and the striking Charles W. Cullen Memorial Bridge.

Approaching Fenwick and Ocean City.

A good look at Ocean City Inlet.

Flying down the deserted Assateague Island beach.

The RV/Camper area at Assateague State Park.

Then we turned northwest and headed for home.  It was hot and bumpy so we climbed up above the clouds where it was cool and smooth.

Approaching an undistinguished and nondescript creek which is one of my favorites to fly.

A closer look at the creek.
